Many people start having problems with the computer as time progresses. Many of these problems can be traced to trying to load software that requires more hardware than the original designed capability of the computer. Another problem is the loading of programs that continually sap computer resources. Remember the best method of restoring a computer to its original capabilities is to format and reload the system. Please make sure you have copied your data and have the programs you need on CD to be able to load the computer again.

Another problem with slow computers is loading games and other online software and utilities. Many online offers of free or discounted access and software carry a high price with unwanted additions the run in background.

Adding memory, a new more powerful processor and a more powerful video card may help alleviate the problems associated with a slow computer and computer glitches.

Using computer or software programs that are outdated can be trouble. Using the latest version of operating systems and user programs as bugs that have been found are corrected in newer versions. Make sure you have the latest in device drivers as this is another major concern.

Many programs need to have special drivers or patches. You need to check the web site of the manufacturer of that software or call them to get that info.

Compatibility with other programs that are loaded in the computer can cause conflicts - one software needs the computer setup in a special configuration and another needs the computer setup in the original settings. Ex. If you have loaded a new software package it may work just fine and an old software package may quit working. Or a new package may not load as the older software loads will not release the settings for the new one to function. - - Again many programs need to have special drivers or patches. You need to check the web site of the manufacturer or call them to get that info.
